Brief
Design and evangelize a set of icons for Dynamics 365 Mixed Reality apps that align with Microsoft’s updated app standards, look polished in both 2D and 3D, and clearly reflect the unique value and purpose of each experience.
Delivery
We partnered with Alchemy and their amazing designers to create a versatile icon suite that functioned seamlessly as flat assets in Windows and volumetric versions in HoloLens. To support each launch, we also developed a poster series featuring First Line Heroes, amplifying the unique capabilities of each Mixed Reality experience.

All in the family
Part of Microsoft’s broader icon refresh, including the Office suite, the Dynamics 365 Mixed Reality icons were designed to blend in, then break out. Flat on the surface, they animate into dimensional forms built for HoloLens, bridging the 2D world of Windows with the 3D space of Mixed Reality.
The icons were showcased in the media release for the updated Microsoft 365 app icon suite.
First Line Heroes unite!
To celebrate the real heroes behind our Mixed Reality apps, we created a series of comic book covers in the style of 1970s Marvel with bold titles and Jack Kirby flair. Each cover spotlighted first line workers — assembly pros, field techs, repair experts — turning them into larger-than-life characters.
These fun designs championed our customers, showcased the new icons, and created swag people actually wanted to keep.
